I've had various publications including a blog post for PRSA Rochester and articles I've written for the Cardinal Courier, the St. John Fisher College student-run newspaper. I've included examples of my work below.

Interning During a Pandemic
PRSA Young Professionals Blog

Allow me to introduce myself first, please: my name is Gabriella Garcy and I’m a senior Media and Communication major and Spanish minor at St. John Fisher College. This spring, I’ve had the pleasure of interning at Dresden Public Relations as their Social Media Coordinator.

You may be wondering how I was able to get an internship during the middle of the COVID-19 pandemic, which wasn’t by any means an easy task to do. There are a few key things that I did that helped me land my position, and I’m here to help out the next student who’s ready to take on the challenge of finding an internship and standing out once you do.

GARCY: "My time at Fisher
has been nothing short
of extraordinary"

SJFC Cardinal Courier

While the thought of graduating in a week is hard to believe, I’ve had a period of time to reflect on my past four years at the college and the growth I’ve experienced as a student and individual. I came into Fisher nervous to step out of my comfort zone and unsure of what I wanted to pursue, and am leaving confident with what lies ahead due to the support I received from the people I’ve met.

SJFC Cardinal Courier

As the world starts to open up again, an important question faces St. John Fisher College: when will the option to study abroad be available to Fisher students again?

According to Jennifer Pluretti, one of Fisher’s Study Abroad faculty, studying abroad was approved by Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs Dr. Kevin Railey for

spring 2022.
